The University of Valladolid (UVA), whose history can be traced back to the 13th century, has been the inspirational foundation for numerous other prestigious universities in Spain, with more than 3.000 researchers and 160 recognized research groups.

GIRDAC, as a recognized research group from the University is actively working in heritage management sustainability in Spain, Europe and India as well. Professors Julio Grijalba and Alberto Grijalba, members of the University of Valladolid, have conducted successful researches and training programs with several Indian Universities and institutions, amongst others.

  • Co-Curators of the exhibition "Discovering Ahmedabad. Annals of Reinvention" Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation y Casa de la India. Spain and Ahmedabad 2009.
  • The Training Program "Europe India. Architecture, Heritage and sustainability urban development". UVA and Ahmedabad University.
  • The Master Class "Management and Heritage", approved in 2011.
  • Training program "Tourism and Heritage Management", approved in 2012. UVA and Ahmedabad University.
  • Training program "Industry, Institutions and Heritage Management", approved in 2012. UVA and Ahmedabad University.

This institution will lead the training program and best practice manual and actively participate providing technical support to Indian artist participating in the mentoring program
