The Centre for Heritage Management (CHM) at Ahmedabad University (AU), in Gujarat, India, is one of its kinds in India which specializes in heritage management. It is established to promote conservation and management of heritage assets, particularly through its educational programs aiming at capacity building of professionals, entrepreneurs, public institutions, and community groups. It draws upon its wide network of professionals and institutions across the, local, national and international level. Its management development programs have been very successful and involved entrepreneurs and organizations have openly appreciated the contribution of such programs in enriching their human resources.

The Centre for Heritage Management will be the key local partner to host and implement the Cultural Heritage Management Venture Lab in Ahmedabad in association with the identified cluster of cultural heritage entrepreneurs. As a centre for education, research and promotion of cultural heritage management in the region, CHM acts as the base of operation of field activities for this project drawing also from its ongoing management development training programs as well as other research and consulting activities in the region. Its working relationship with the other local partners and associates is the core base for the success of the proposed venture lab, particularly in its endeavour of identifying and reaching out to the potential members of the heritage-related cluster.

CHM is housed at Ahmedabad University (AU) which is promoted by the Ahmedabad Education Society (AES) established in 1935.
